Thanks For Nothing, Tom

Brady Throws Late INT, Patriots Lose, Hurt Chargers

The Bolts did what they had to do, beating the Broncos 27-20 on Thursday night. That win did the Patriots a monster favor, opening the door for New England to earn the top seed (and home-field advantage) in the AFC playoffs.

But do you think Tom Brady returned the favor? NO!

The Pats could have done San Diego a solid by winning their next two games, against the Dolphins and Ravens, the two teams directly ahead of the Chargers in the playoff hunt.

I suppose it was too much to ask the team that knocked the Chargers OUT of the playoffs in 2006 and 2007 to help put them IN the playoffs in 2013.

Tom Brady threw an interception on 4th and five from the Miami 14 yard line with seven seconds left, sealing the Dolphins' 24-20 win. Miami quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw three touchdown passes with no picks, outdueling the Pats' future hall of famer.

Miami improves to 8-6 (interestingly, 5-2 since Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito left the team) and have to win just one of their final two games, against the Jets and Bills, to officially knock the Bolts out of the post-season picture.

Baltimore, sitting at 7-6, plays the Lions in Detroit on Monday Night Football.
