A year ago at this time, the Padres were worrying about when to call up Chase Headley, concerned that he might qualify a year early for a juicy arbitration payday.
Now, Headley's far from looking like the next Evan Longoria or Ryan Braun. He's striking out almost a third of the time, the power hasn't arrived, and as a right-handed hitter Headley's under a .200 average.
