Super Bowl 50 Practice Facilities, Team Hotels Revealed

We don't know which teams will be playing in Super Bowl 50, but we now know where they'll be practicing when they get to the Bay Area for the Feb. 7, 2016, game.

One team will take over Stanford Stadium and the other team will run its pre-Super Bowl plays at San Jose State's Spartan Stadium.

Of course, the big game will be at Levi's Stadium.

"To be a part of it is something we're very proud of," SJSU Athletic Director Gene Bleymaier said.

The fields, equipment and weight room on campus will be used by a potential Super Bowl champion.

"This is a brand new field that was put in a year and a half ago, so it is state of the art," Bleymaier said.

The Bay Area Super Bowl Host Committee also announced the team hotels, which will be the Santa Clara and San Jose Marriotts.

"We're going to be putting the red carpet out for our part of it," said Scott Knies, executive director for the San Jose Downtown Association. "It really makes sense when you talk about having the teams down near the stadium, practice facilities near them."

Knies said all of the hotels in San Jose are already booked through Super Bowl week.

"We really think it's going to be millions once you consider all the hotels and all of the facilities, the restaurants," he said of the expected money generated by Super Bowl-related visitors and events.

The host committee recommended the venues, but the NFL Football Operations and Events Departments made the final decision.
