Season of Failure

Chargers Fall to Falcons

The Chargers can best be described as a dysfunctional family, and a bad football team, after Sunday's loss to Atlanta.

"I have no idea why we have underachieved," linebacker Shaun Phillips.  They certainly don't play together, or very hard for head coach Norv Turner.

"We came out flat," according to linebacker Stephen Cooper.  While former Charger Michael Turner ran for 120 yards, the other Turner was booed off the field.

"It's disappointing," said Norv.  At 4-8 the season is all but over.

"We won't quit," said LaDainian Tomlinson.

The way they played against the Falcons, it looked like some players already did.
