Growing up in Utah, Sami Hill played basketball and didn’t know much about water polo until she moved to California at 12 years old. She still wasn’t sold on the sport because of the way the cap fits over her ears – she thought it was weird. Now the goalkeeper can be seen happily wearing a cap alongside her sister, Kodi Hill, who is also a member of the U.S. water polo national team.
