After not qualifying in the 100 meter dash at the NCAA Championships, Ashley Henderson bounced back with a great effort in the 200 Thursday and secured an individual spot in Saturday’s final.
Running in lane three, Henderson qualified for the 200 by finishing second in her heat and third overall when she posted a personal best time of 22.49 seconds.
“After the 100 and doing that (not qualifying), I was really just running to make it to the finals,” said Henderson.
“And now I found out that I ran and made it to the finals plus a PB (personal best). It started out kind of rocky but it ended on a good note."
