In one of the more exciting games we've seen this season, the Oceanside Pirates hung tough to steal a win from a feisty Helix squad.
Pirates Linebacker Rene Siluano intercepted Ty Culver with 42 seconds left in the game to seal the 23-19 win. Oceanside lost two key players to injury. Team Captain Justin Vaeena tore his ACL early in the first half, and leading receiver Demario Coleman went down with a high ankle sprain.
With the win, Oceanside earns their fifth straight section Championship and still hold out hope for a repeat trip to the state finals.
