Padres Split Series with Dodgers

The San Diego Padres settled for a split of their two game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Everyone was pulling for starter Kevin Correia but the Dodgers took the lead with three runs in the sixth inning on their way to a 4-1 win.

The Padres got their run in the third inning. Will Venable, who had four hits Wednesday night, with the base knock off Clayton Kershaw.

Everth Cabrera who had a hustle double scored to tie the game at one all.

The Dodgers broke the tie on a sac fly, then tacked on a couple more runs.

Jamey Carroll with the base hit to score James Loney. Then Corriea uncorked a wild pitch. Blake DeWitt scored.

The Dodgers move just a game back of the first place Padres.
