Padres Reclaim First Place

The Padres are back in first place. They won, the Giants, Rockies and if you're keeping an eye on the wild card, the Braves lost too.

Mark it down - Sept. 22 was good, very good for the Padres. They got all three of their runs in the third inning.

Miguel Tejada scored his eight dinger since joining the Padres, 300th of his career. Of course, a few of those were enhanced.

Tim Stauffer went six innings for the win. Nice effort by Stauffer, and right here by Aaron Cunningham in centerfield to retire Matt Kemp in the 4th inning.

Mat Latos goes Thursday. Cross your fingers that he can get it all together again.
