Ochocinco Says Palmer Trade Talk Is Real

Chad Ochocinco says Carson Palmer isn't bluffing when he says he will retire if he is not traded.

How does the outspoken wide receiver/reality television star know? Because Palmer is not Ochocinco.

Speaking to ESPN on Thursday, the Cincinnati Bengals' star was asked about Palmer's recent demand to be traded.

"His statement, trade me or I'll retire. He means it. He means it," the former "Dancing With the Stars" contest said.

Ochocinco said Palmer's demand to be traded is different than his own in the past because Palmer is a quiet guy who isn't as brash as him or doesn't talk as much as him.

Palmer has been linked with several West Coast teams, including the San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals, who are both in need of a quarterback.

While Ochocinco thinks Palmer may ultimately get traded -- despite his earlier comments on Twitter -- the receiver said he has not spoken to the former USC star.

He used his national television platform Thursday to reach out to Palmer.

"If I'm back, me and all the receivers want you back...we love you," he said. "And call me too. My number is the same."
