Nevada Blasts Aztecs in Season Finale

Wolfpack wins by 28 in uninspired SDSU performance

Last time the Aztecs played Nevada they upset the then-6th-ranked Wolfpack at Viejas Arena.

The rematch in Reno wasn't just revenge; it was a reckoning.

Nevada beat the snot out of San Diego State 81-53 in the regular season finale for both teams. The Aztecs never had a lead at any point and really lost this game close to the basket. They were outrebounded by 17 and outscored 26-12 in the paint, two discrepancies that should never exist with an alleged 1st round NBA talent like Jalen McDaniels in the middle.

The Wolfpack only led by five at halftime but went bonkers after the break, outscoring the Aztecs 39-16 in the final 20 minutes.

SDSU will be the 4th seed in the upcoming Mountain West Conference Tournament. They'll have to win three games in three days, most likely facing Nevada again, to get back to the NCAA Tournament.
