NBA Wrap: Nelson Win Tally Hits 1,300

OAKLAND, California — Stephen Jackson scored 26 points and Corey Maggette added 25 in Golden State's 133-120 victory over Oklahoma City to give coach Don Nelson his 1,300th victory Saturday.

Nelson is just the second coach in NBA history to reach the milestone, joining good friend Lenny Wilkens, who has 1,332 career wins. The Warriors' fifth victory in seven games was vintage Nellieball, with his Warriors reeling off their fourth 120-point game of the month to compensate for their indifferent defense and 17 turnovers.

Kevin Durant scored 32 points for the Thunder, who have lost five straight. Russell Westbrook added 31 points and 11 assists, but Oklahoma City dropped to 3-24 on the road.

Spurs 98, Wizards 67

At Washington, Roger Mason had 25 points and five assists against his old team as the San Antonio wrapped up their 19-day road trip with a win over Washington.

Mason returned to his hometown and went 9-for-15 from the field, including 5-for-9 from 3-point range, and had 10 points and two steals in a 19-4 run that capped the third quarter and gave the Spurs a 78-57 lead.

Michael Finley added 19 points, and Tim Duncan had 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Spurs, who made eight of their first 11 shots to take a 19-9 lead and were never seriously threatened by the worst team in the Eastern Conference.

Caron Butler led the Wizards with 24 points.

Heat 97, 76ers 91

At Miami, Dwyane Wade had 25 points and nine assists, including a big layup with 1 minute left, as Miami moved a step away from their closest pursuers in the Eastern Conference playoff race by beating Philadelphia.

Jermaine O'Neal finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds in his second game with the Heat, who also got 13 points and 10 rebounds from Udonis Haslem and 12 points from Jamario Moon.

Andre Miller had 30 points — the most by a 76ers player since late last season — and nine rebounds, and Louis Williams scored 22 off the bench for Philadelphia.

Jazz 102, Hornets 88

At Salt Lake, City, Deron Williams had 20 points and 13 assists as Utah Jazz honored the memory of Larry H. Miller with a win over the New Orleans Hornets.

The Jazz held a pregame moment of silence and the players wore patches with the initials LHM as Miller's courtside seat remained empty during a game he would have especially enjoyed.

The Jazz improved to 10 games above .500 for the first time this season and after the buzzer, Williams walked the game ball across the court to hand it to Miller's widow, Gail, and hugged her. Miller, 64, died Friday of complications from diabetes.

Chris Paul had 24 points and seven assists for New Orleans, which was coming off an overtime loss in Los Angeles the night before.

Mavericks 116, Kings 95

At Dallas, Brandon Bass scored 16 of his season-high 20 points in the second quarter as Dallas' reserves contributed 54 points to lift the Mavericks past Sacramento.

Dallas, which has won 11 straight home games over Sacramento in the regular season, scored a season-high 70 points in the first half — with 36 of those coming from bench players.

Josh Howard scored 20 points, reserve James Singleton had season-high 19 with 12 rebounds and Dirk Nowitzki added 12 points for the Mavericks. Dallas pulled all their starters early in the fourth quarter.

Beno Udrih had 18 points, and Spencer Hawes and Francisco Garcia each scored 17 for the Kings, who have the NBA's worst record at 12-45.
