Mr. Smith Goes to Washington

The Washington Redskins made it official -- they've added former Chargers general manager A.J. Smith to their front office.

A.J.'s new title is Senior Executive. Basically, Mr "It is what it is"  will work in the Redskins scouting department. Smith is good buddies with Redskins G.M. Bruce Allen.
Smith was fired after the Chargers finished with a 7-9 record in 2012 and missing the playoffs for a third straight year.

He helped rebuild the Bolts during his 14-years with the team, but lost his touch the last couple of seasons -- too many bad drafts did him in.
