Mets Fans Kindly Troll Hunter Pence All Weekend Long

Giants sparkplug accused of mundane evils and ills

If he were thin-skinned, it might have been a long weekend for San Francisco Giants right-fielder Hunter Pence, who has been subjected to a nonstop barrage of abuse that one could only call... polite.

A group of New York Mets fans all weekend long used a series of signs that, among other things, questioned Pence's respect for the express lane at the supermarket as well as his parallel-parking abilities.

Not to be left out, Twitter users are getting into the fun.

Among the "sick burns" leveled Pence's way: the charge that the right-fielder is a "good sport," according to Deadspin.

The trolling worked... for the Giants and Pence, who finished the series 6-for-18 with two home runs, two triples, two doubles and seven RBI.
