Manny Ramirez is scheduled to bat leadoff and be the designated hitter for the Single A Inland Empire 66ers as the Los Angeles Dodgers slugger continues his minor league rehab stint.
The team's manager Carlos Subero said Ramirez was expected to play long enough to get four at-bats Saturday night.
Ramirez is preparing to rejoin the Dodgers on July 3 at San Diego after serving a 50-game steroid suspension. He played two games at Triple-A Albuquerque earlier in the week.
Ramirez declined to speak with reporters, saying, "No, gracias" when asked if he would talk.
He was the big attraction at Lake Elsinore Diamond, where the temperature registered 106 degrees and a hot breeze failed to offer relief from the stifling conditions.
