Kobe Bryant Ordered to Pay His Housekeeper

Kobe Bryant and his wife have been ordered to pay unemployment benefits to their former housekeeper who is suing them for harassing and humiliating her.

The California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board has ruled the Los Angeles Lakers star and his wife must pay $326 a week in unemployment benefits to Maria Jimenez. The ruling affirms a decision by an administrative law judge who found that Jimenez testified credibly that she was forced to quit because she was "demeaned and humiliated" by her employer.

Jimenez claimed that after being verbally abused on the job she finally quit when Vanessa Bryant made her fish a price tag for an expensive blouse out of a trash can full of dog feces.

A call seeking comment from the Bryants' attorney was not immediately returned.

The couple has denied allegations in Jimenez's lawsuit, which claims they refused to provide health insurance to her and forced her to quit.
