Homecoming King

Adam Jones provided the offense and Bud Norris took care of business on the mound. The result was a 4-1 Orioles win at Petco Park.

Jones, who was born in National City, tied a career high with four hits. One of those was a solo homer in the fourth inning off of Edinson Volquez, who lost for the ninth time this season. He also had an RBI single in the first inning.

Norris won for the second time since joining the Orioles. He held the Padres to one run on five hits in six innings of work.

AL RBI and home run leader Chris Davis drove in an insurance run with a double in the eighth inning. It was RBI number 103 on the season.

The final game of the short two game series is Wednesday afternoon at Petco Park.
