The closed-to-the-public Action Sports trade show is being held at the San Diego Convention Center this weekend.
The Action Sports Retailer Trade Show kicked off Thursday and runs through Saturday. Among the highlights are a fashion show on Friday showcasing different trends and styles for the upcoming season.
More than 100 brands of "emerging and core crossover fashion and accessory brands" are featured at the show. The focus, obviously, is on surf and skate designers.
Exhibitors said traffic at this year's show is lighter than usual and are blaming the weak economy. Last year, the industry accounted for more than $14 billion in sales.
