Fans Line Up for Aztecs Tickets

Fans of the San Diego State University men’s basketball team braved the rain and the cold (well, cold for San Diego) to score some tickets to see their beloved Aztecs.

The lawn chairs and sleeping bags started appearing around 8:00 p.m. Sunday.

As of 6 a.m. Monday, there were about 450 people in line to purchase tickets to watch the 4th-ranked Aztecs compete against TCU at the Viejas Arena on Saturday, Feb. 5.

The first person to line up Sunday night said he got only about 30 minutes of sleep.

"I got a 9:00 class in the morning and wanted to make sure I could get my ticket before the 9 a.m. class and still have time to go and not wait in this crazy line," said Timothy.

"We've been out here in the rain and the cold but it's all going to pay off," said his roommate Anthony.

Ticket sales begin at 7:30 a.m.

On Saturday, SDSU beat Wyoming 96-57.
