Padres pitchers and catchers report to spring training next week. A few of them will report to Petco Park Saturday for the team's annual FanFest.
Two dozen current players will be joined by alumni, broadcasters and front office staff to mingle with Padres fans. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to get autographs, tour the clubhouse, run the bases and even catch fly balls in the outfield.
The event is kid friendly as well. Pitcher Tyson Ross will give a youth pitching clinic. Yonder Alonzo will assist youngsters in a batting clinic. The first baseman is looking forward to Saturday's meet and greet, "It's just an overall fun day, just to really give back to them. We're excited about it."
The free event begins at 10:00 a.m and runs until 4:00 p.m.
