Jason Hernandez of the San Jose Earthquakes celebrates with goalkeeper David Bingham after Bingham kicked the ball the length of the field and scored a goal against the West Bromwich Albion from the English Premier League during a friendly soccer game at Buck Shaw Stadium on July 12, 2011 in Santa Clara, Calif.

Here's a soccer highlight you don't see every day (except for today, of course) -- an end-to-end boot for a goal.

The San Jose Earthquakes' rookie goalie, David Bingham, kicked the ball from his own goal line all the way down field, bounced it over the West Bromwich Albion goalie's head and into the goal on Tuesday night at Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

Bingham's was playing for his home crowd, where he's not only a Bay Area native but he also went to Cal before joining the 'Quakes.

San Jose beat West Bromwich Albion 2-1.
