Christmas Miracle: 2 Chargers Headed to Pro Bowl

Two members of the 6-8 San Diego Chargers are among the best players in the league.

Tight-end Antonio Gates and offensive lineman Kris Dielman will play in the 2009 NFL Pro Bowl in Honolulu

This will be the fifth straight Pro Bowl appearance for Gates, while Dielman will be returning for the second time.

Gates leads the Chargers in receptions and is simply one of the best tight ends in the game.  Dielman was honored for protecting Philip Rivers, the NFL's highest-rated passer.

At least two Chargers were snubbed.  Both kick returner Darren Sproles, who won the fan vote at that position, and punter Mike Scifres should have made the team.
