Chargers/Chiefs Blackout Lifted

The San Diego Chargers said on Thursday that enough tickets were sold for Sunday's game against AFC West leader Kansas City to lift the television blackout in Southern California.

The Chargers must sell 3,000 general admission tickets by Monday in order to lift the blackout of their game on Dec. 16 against San Francisco.

Earlier this season, the Chargers failed to sell out enough tickouts to lift the NFL-imposed local broadcast of the games against the Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals and Jacksonville Jaguars. The blackout of the home opener against the Jaguars was the first blackout of a regular or post-season game since 2004.
