Chargers Re-Sign Clary

Offensive lineman is back for one more year

The Chargers are holding on to Jeromey Clary.  The offensive lineman signed a 1-year contract tender on Monday.

Clary started 16 games at right tackle for the Chargers in 2008.  He was originally drafted by the team in the 6th round of the 2006 draft.  In two seasons on the active roster he's appeared in 32 games, starting 22 of them.

The Chargers are still looking for help on the offensive line, so Clary may not be a starter in 2009.  However, even if he's coming off the bench it's nice to have another experienced player in the rotation.
