Chargers Radio Replacement Imminent

Former Bolts WR is the favorite to replace Hank Bauer

The Chargers and Clear Channel radio are close to naming their new radio broadcast team for the 2015 season. Long time analyst Hank Bauer will reportedly be replaced by another former Chargers player.

According to foxsports.com, the Bolts are close to signing up Curtis Conway for the job. Conway spent 12 years in the NFL as a wide receiver, including three seasons in San Diego (2000-2002). He's currently an analyst for NFL Network and Pac-12 Network.

Conway, a former first round pick out of USC, is based out of Los Angeles (you can read in to that however you see fit). He would join established play-by-play announcer Josh Lewin for Chargers game broadcasts on Sunday.

By the way, the 44-year-old Conway is married to Laila Ali, former boxing champion and daughter of the legendary Muhammad Ali.
