Chargers Get Cut

NEW YORK -- Sunday night's Chargers game has been "flexed," officials announced Monday.

San Diego was scheduled to play that night at Tampa Bay. The Chargers and Buccaneers will now get going at 1 p.m. Eastern and will be shown on CBS.

The Carolina Panthers at New York Giants game Dec. 21 has been shifted from early afternoon to an evening kickoff under the NFL's flex scheduling policy.

The game, which could impact home-field advantage in the NFC playoffs, will now be televised by NBC.

The 11-and-2 Giants have already clinched the NFC East and top the NFC South-leading Panthers by one game. The winner would have the edge if they finish tied for the top seed in the conference by virtue of a head-to-head victory.

The Philadelphia at Washington and Atlanta at Minnesota games on Dec. 21 will move from 1 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Eastern and be televised on Fox affiliates.
