Browns' Armonty Bryant, De'Ante Saunders Arrested After Christmas Traffic Stop

The Browns say linebacker Armonty Bryant and cornerback De'Ante Saunders were arrested Christmas morning following a traffic stop.

According to NBC affiliate WKYC, Saunders, a member of the Browns' practice squad, was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. During the stop, a gun and the prescription drug, Adderall, were also found in the car, WKYC reported.

Bryant will not travel with the team for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs so he can tend to the legal matter, the team said. The Ohio State Highway Patrol did not release details of Bryant's arrest.

Browns general manager Ray Farmer said in a statement that the team takes the charges against the players "seriously" and calls the situation "extremely disappointing."

Bryant, who is second on the team in sacks this season, is in his third year with the Browns. He was drafted in the seventh round in 2013 from East Central Oklahoma, where he had some legal troubles.

The Browns (3-11) will visit the Chiefs on Sunday before ending the regular season at home against Pittsburgh on Jan. 3.
