Bring on the Jets!

Chargers fans can finally get their playoff revenge, it's just that it may come against a different team than they'd planned on facing.  The New York Jets will officially become the Chargers first speed bump on the road to Miami thanks to a Baltimore Ravens win over the New England Patriots Sunday.

"We'd of liked to see Tom Brady and the Patriots come to town, but we'll take the Jets," said Chargers Fan Justin Takahashi who came to Seau's in Mission Valley to watch the game that would determine his team's next opponent.

The Chargers lost to the Jets back on Jan. 8, 2005 during a cold and rainy AFC Wildcard game.  It was a game that marked the team's return to the post season following several years of mediocrity.

"I remember that game like it was yesterday," said Chargers Fan David Maxson.  "I was there with my LT jersey and I really thought we were going to do it and then just like that we were walking out of the stadium saying 'what happened?'  This time the Jets fans are going to make that walk."

Chargers fans don't seem to care who they'll face between now and Miami, which is where the Superbowl will be held.  There is a feeling that this team is "special" and can ride a 13 game regular season winning streak all the way to the top.  Confidence doesn't seem to be a problem.

"Miami or bust!  Seriously, this team has destiny written all over it" said Chargers fan Peter Kane.
