San Diego State football has reached a new level of futility, after giving up a school record seventy points in losing at New Mexico 70-7. The Aztecs have now dropped eight straight games to the Lobos.
This game was over early on. The Lobos led 21-0 after a quarter, and 49-0 at the half. Rodney Ferguson ran for three first half touchdowns, and four for the game for New Mexico.
Truly one of the most embarrassing performances in Aztecs football history. Another disappointing loss under Head Coach Chuck Long, who is now 8-23 in his third year.
