San Diego State University men's basketball team is moving up the Associated Press College Basketball Poll.
This week, formerly-ranked #3 Wisconsin lost to a pair of un-ranked teams, #8 Iowa State dropped two, and #9 Oklahoma State lost (big thanks to Kansas, who beat both the Cyclones and Cowboys).
So SDSU moved to No. 7 in the Top 25 ranking. They also jumped to 7th in the Coaches Poll.
The Aztecs held UNLV to 30 percent shooting at Viejas Arena on Saturday.
Even though SDSU only hit 33 percent, Aztecs won 63-52.
The Arizona Wildcats (18-0) are again the runaway No. 1, receiving 61 first-place votes from the 65-member national media panel. The Syracuse Orange (18-0) got the other No. 1 votes.
San Diego State's only loss this season came to U of A, in the second game of the year. The Aztecs have since won 15 straight games. This is the highest ranking the Aztecs have had since the 2010-2011 season, when they peaked at a program-record 4th in both polls.

Michigan State moved up one place to third while Villanova jumped two spots to fourth. Wichita State, at 19-0 the only other unbeaten in Division I, stayed fifth and was followed by Florida, San Diego State, Kansas, Wisconsin and Iowa.
Kansas has beaten three straight ranked opponents and jumped from 15th to No. 8.
Michigan, at No. 21, and Kansas State, at 22nd, moved into the poll this week, replacing Creighton, Colorado and UCLA. There was a tie for 25th last week.
San Diego State men's team plays Wednesday at San Jose and Saturday at Utah State before returning home to play against Colorado State on Saturday, Feb. 1.
