San Diego State's baseball team was a preseason favlorite to win the Mountain West Conference. They didn't do anything to hurt those lofty expectations this weekend.
The Aztecs swept UNLV at Tony Gwynn Stadium. Sunday's win was a total blowout. Cory Vaughn went 4-4 with a home run and 7 runs batted in to pace SDSU's 15-2 win. Vaughn fell one RBI short of the school record and needed a double to hit for the cycle.
The Aztecs are 3-0 in MWC play. They host Kansas on Tuesday.
