Attaochu Impressive in Opener

It didn't take long for Jerry Attaochu to make an impression on Chargers coaches and players Monday night. The rookie had a blocked punt in the first half that led to a Chargers field goal and a strip sack in the second half that the Bolts turned into seven points.

The second-round pick from Georgia Tech finished the game with four solo tackles. Head Coach Mike McCoy wasn't surprised with Attaochu's production, "He knows only one way to play. He runs snap to whistle, sideline to sideline and with great effort."

At Tuesday's press conference Attaochu had mixed emotions about his NFL debut, "It was exciting, but I was so down that we lost that I didn't care quite frankly."

Attaochu and the defense have no time to rest. The defending Super Bowl champs are in town on Sunday for the Chargers home opener.
