Another Chargers Star Arrested

A star player for the San Digo Chargers was arrested while driving his 2008 Bentley, according to a published report.

The California Highway Patrol stopped defensive tackle Jamal Williams for speeding on Sunday at about 1:30 a.m. Williams was stopped on state Route 94 near Home Avenue in El Cajon, according to the CHP, and he was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.  The San Diego Union-Tribune reported he was driving the Bentley at the time of his arrest.

Investigators said the former Pro Bowler submitted to a blood alcohol test. The results of that test are pending.

The Chargers had no comment Monday night on the arrest.

Star receiver Vincent Jackson was arrested last month for a similar charge. His case is still pending.
