NCAA Game Summary – San Diego at University of Portland

Portland, OR (Sports Network) - Nik Raivio tallied 17 points and grabbed nine caroms, as the University of Portland Pilots downed the San Diego Toreros, 69-55, in West Coast Conference play at the Chiles Center.

Raivio connected on 2-of-5 attempts from downtown and 7-of-8 at the foul line, as Portland (14-7, 5-1 WCC) won its fifth straight decision. Jared Stohl and Luke Sikma each scored 14 points off the bench, while T.J. Campbell had 11 points and four assists in the victory.

Gyno Pomare logged a game-high 18 points and six board to lead San Diego (12-9, 4-2 WCC), which suffered its second consecutive setback. Rob Jones recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while De'Jon Jackson and Trumaine Johnson chipped in with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Pilots used a 12-2 run in the first period to open a 34-24 lead at the intermission.

In the second half, Portland converted 4-of-6 attempts from three-point range and 11-of-13 at the foul line, as it scored the 14-point win.

On the night, the Pilots went 8-of-14 from three-point land and 19-of-24 at the charity stripe.
