NCAA Game Summary – Marshall at San Diego

San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - Gyno Pomare posted 20 points to lead the San Diego Toreros to an 80-70 victory over the Marshall Thundering Herd in a non- conference tilt.

Rob Jones pitched in 13 points for San Diego (8-7), which got 12 points apiece from Trumaine Johnson and Matt Dorr. Rounding out a group of five double-digit scorers was Devin Ginty with 10 points.

Tyler Wilkerson scored 22 points in the setback for Marshall (7-6), and he also ripped down 15 rebounds. The Thundering Herd also got 14 points from Damier Pitts, 11 points from Shaquille Johnson and 10 points from Dago Pena.

San Diego led 39-17 at intermission after limiting Marshall to 7-of-24 shooting from the floor in the first half, including 0-of-10 from three-point range.

The Toreros weren't nearly as dominant in the second half, but 20 points from the foul line and 10-of-19 shooting from the floor over the final 20 minutes proved to be good enough to seal the victory.

San Diego, which led by as many as 31 points in the tilt, connected on 57.8 percent of its field goal attempts and scored 22 points from the foul line.
