Tim Shelton added 12 points for SDSU (7-1).
Gyno Pomare netted 17 points and grabbed eight boards for San Diego (4-4), while Chris Lewis and Brandon Johnson tallied 12 and 10 points, respectively.
The Aztecs shot 56.5 percent from the field in the first half and went into the break with a 35-27 advantage.
San Diego State used more of a defensive approach in the second stanza, limiting the Toreros to a mere 36.4 percent showing from the floor, en route to the 11-point victory.
