The NFL and its broadcast partners try to put its most anticipated, popular, and competitive matchups in prime time. This is why you will not see the Chargers playing many prime time games.
The 2018 National Football League schedule is out and for the second straight year the Chargers will not have any prime time games at home. Well, actually, yes they will.
One of the "home" games they gave up to play the Titans in London will be seen at 6:30 a.m. on the west coast so that's kind of like anti-prime time. The only other time they get the airwaves all to themselves is a December Thursday night game in Kansas City.
Normally a team that came one win short of making the playoffs and looks to be a post-season threat again would be featured a little more heavily for national TV games but the NFL seems to be saying what it refuses to admit:
The Chargers in Los Angeles are a joke and a lost cause. But for anyone who is still interested here's how their 2018 schedule looks.
