Election signs are coming down too soon -- and for the wrong reasons -- according to a published report.
"Republicans and Democrats alike have complained to their local party offices that signs supporting presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama have disappeared in the night," reports the North County Times.
The political pilfering is a criminal act, authorities said.
