San Diego County Prepares For Elections

A large scale effort is underway to get polling supplies delivered all over San Diego County.

With the election less than two weeks away, a large scale effort is underway to get polling supplies delivered all over San Diego County.

Voting supplies will be delivered to almost 3,400 precinct inspectors and touch screen inspectors this weekend to prepare for the elections on November 4th. More than 50 large trucks have been parked on Overland Avenue near the registrar of voters office. The trucks were loaded with supply boxes full of ballots, cardboard voting booths, touch screens and printer canisters, signs, and other items needed for the election.

Volunteers were keeping a watchful eye on the operation and said they want to be careful about who ends up with the supplies.

"We have a print out that says their name, their sequence, their precinct number and what supplies their supposed to get issued," said volunteer Linda Black.
