With Film On Way, ‘Twilight' Soundtrack Tops Charts

“Twilight” fans couldn’t wait till next week to get their first taste of the teen vampire romance.

With advance ticket sales for the film riding high, its soundtrack topped the Billboard 200 this week, becoming the third soundtrack this year to go No. 1 after “Juno” and “Mamma Mia!” (The “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” soundtrack bowed at No. 2 despite selling 297,000 copies its first week.)

Led by Paramore’s “Decode” and featuring tracks from Linkin Park, Muse and even “Twilight” star Robert Pattinson, the blood-sucking soundtrack sold 165,000 copies, according to Billboard, taking the top spot from AC/DC’s “Black Ice.”

The Summit Entertainment film, based on the novels by Stephenie Meyer, is due November 21.
