“Barefoot Bandit” Gets 7 Years Behind Bars

“Barefoot Bandit” Colton Harris-Moore, who hopscotched the country in stolen cars, boats and planes, eluding authorities for more than two years, was sentenced to more than seven years in prison after pleading guilty to state charges in Washington. The 20-year-old, who earned his moniker by committing his crimes barefoot, had already pleaded guilty to federal charges and will be sentenced for those crimes next year. He will serve both sentences at the same time. Moore is using the proceeds from a movie deal to help repay his victims, The Associated Press reported.
