Ryan Lochte Dyes His Hair Ice-Blue for Rio Olympics

Lochte, 31, will compete in the men’s 200 meter individual medley in Rio

When swimmer Ryan Lochte jumps into the pool in Rio, the water won’t be the only thing that’s blue. Over the weekend the Olympian dyed his hair ice-blue.

Lochte, 31, posted a photo at a hair salon getting ready to apply the dye and later gave followers a look at the final product.

"New look.... Here We Go #Rio #2016 thanks @jennjonesatl #turnup #lightblue," Lochte captioned the photo.

His hair stylist also posted a shot on Instagram, posing with Lochte and Olympic swimmer James Feigen, who also got his hair dyed the same shade of frosty blue. 

Lochte, known for sporting expertly coiffed hair, also has passion for unique footwear. 

The swimmer has a collection of wild and colorful shoes. In 2012, he estimated that he had more than 130 pairs.

Lochte has won 11 medals in three Olympics and will compete in the men’s 200 meter individual medley in Rio. The opening ceremony of the Rio Olympics is Friday.
