Serbian Gunman Kills 5, Including Wife, in Zitiste Cafe Attack

No motive was given for the shooting

Five people were killed and 20 other people were injured when a man entered a café in northern Serbia early Saturday, NBC News reported. 

The suspect was arrested after the attack, which occurred in the village of Zitiste, close to the town of Zrenjanin about 50 miles north of Belgrade. 

According to the country’s Interior Ministry, a man identified only as Z.S. first killed his wife and another woman, and then “continued to shoot at other citizens who were in the cafe."

No motive was given for the shooting, which was still under investigation.
