Power Outage at Dodger Stadium Temporarily Stops Game

A power outage at Dodger Stadium stopped Monday's game between the LA Dodgers and the Milwaukee Brewers at approximately 7:45 p.m.

The game was in the second inning with the Dodgers trailing the Brewers 1-0.

After about a 20-minute delay, the game resumed.

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power said a circuit broke at 7:45 p.m. and that crews were responding. The game resumed using an alternative source of power per LADWP.

City News Service reported that LADWP said Dodger Stadium, which opened in 1962, has a dual power supply fed from two separate circuits and when there is a disruption on one circuit, as was the case Monday night, a switch automatically reroutes power.

The cause of the outage was under investigation as crews worked during the game.
