Suspected Pimp Bites Investigator in Southern California

A man being interviewed for suspected pimping fought with an investigator and bit his hand before being subdued and arrested in Southern California, sheriff's officials say.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said Monday that Demetrius Auston was brought in for questioning last week after deputies spotted him chatting with multiple women believed to be working as prostitutes.

Officials say investigators suspected Auston of pimping and during an interview he became combative and bit a deputy's hand, breaking the skin.

The 25-year-old could face charges including pimping, pandering and assault on a peace officer. It wasn't known if he has an attorney.
