Obama is “Glad” Hillary Clinton Wants Her Emails Released

Obama said in an interview he was "glad" that Hillary Clinton asked the State Department to make her private emails public. "The policy of my administration is to encourage transparency, which is why my emails — the Blackberry I carry around — all those records are available and archived, and I'm glad that Hillary's instructed that those emails about official business need to be disclosed," Obama told Bill Plante in an interview that aired Saturday on CBS News. Clinton had used a private email account for official government business which has the potential to violate policies that all her emails be preserved. Obama said he found out about Clinton's nongovernmental email account the same time everybody else did: through news reports.
