U.S. Airstrikes Help Libyan Rebels Take Back City

U.S. airstrikes enabled Libyan rebels to recapture the strategic city of Ajdabiya yesterday. Rebel fighters celebrated by waving flags and dancing on tanks, reported The Guardian, which cited the take-back as a morale booster for the opposition. This latest development may also help President Obama defend the U.S. intervention in the Libya conflict. In addition to Ajdabiya, rebels said they captured Brega, an oil port--however, there was no independent confirmation of that action. Al Jazeera reported that the city of Misurata remained in government control.
