Former Olympic triple jump champion Christian Olsson is retiring because of injury problems.
The 32-year-old Swede told Swedish news agency TT on Monday that he is retiring after problems with his right foot forced him to abandon a training camp in San Diego. Olsson had hoped to compete in the London Olympics.
Olsson dominated the event for a few years, winning indoor and outdoor world titles in 2003 and another indoor world title in 2004.
