“Someone Out There Knows Something”: Mom Pleads For Help Finding Missing Music Video Producer

The distraught mother of a music producer who went missing in Compton three months ago has turned to the City Council for help.

Annie Collins' son, Raymond Collins, was last seen on Feb. 16. The 29-year-old known as Ray Rich had come to his hometown to discuss filming a music video with a client he'd worked with several times before.

On Tuesday, Collins asked the Compton City Council to offer a reward for information, hoping a financial incentive would encourage someone to come forward.

"Missing my son, but the main thing is we don't have any information and we know someone out there knows something. He's my only son and we miss him dearly and we just pray to God that he's still alive," Annie Collins said.

The mayor asked that her request be put on the agenda for a future meeting and a councilmember also requested they consider putting Collins' picture on the city's electronic billboards.

Collins was last seen at 2 a.m. driving away from the area of Alondra Boulevard and Dwight Avenue (map). An hour later, witnesses saw another man getting out of Collins' car on Raymond Street. No one has seen or heard from Collins since.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
