Mammoth Lift + Lodging Deal: Wintry Savings

Opening day is Nov. 9, and the buy-early fun has begun.

YOU MAY MOP YOUR BROW... often around the middle of summer, and apply a bit more sunblock, and inch a little closer to the oscillating fan, all while wondering when cooler days will once again reign. When, you fervently ponder, will the slopes be open for skiing again? When can I schuss, and savor a few chilly runs, and feel that frosty feeling? Here's the not-so-breaking news on that frigid front: The summer of 2017 has been a little offbeat, in that regard, since the winter of 2016-2017 was just so incredibly snow-tastic up in the Sierra Nevada. It so happens, as we enter those ol' Dog Days o' Summer, that skiing is still happening, up at Mammoth Mountain, and will be into August, though how long into August is still a delightful mystery. So as you dream of the slopes, your usual summer reverie, people are still grabbing their poles and gloves at the higher elevations. But check it out: Once Mammoth shutters in August, all eyes will be on...

NOV. 9, 2017, the expected opening day of the 2017-2018 season. If you can't make it up the big hill over the next few weeks for last-of-the-summer skiing, you can book at Lift + Lodging package at a Mammoth property before Monday, Sept. 18 and save, save, save on a visit next season. Why did we type three saves in a row there? Because this package kicks off at $119 per night, a bit of a song as far as ski fun goes. You'll need to stay two nights, or more, and lift tickets are included for everyone in the party with "every night booked." Are you and your board-loving buds already talking about a trip later in autumn? Between Thanksgiving and New Year's, perhaps? This might be your next topic of conversation. For while the summer skiing continues, many a Mammoth maven is already keeping watching down the road, on all of the wintry fun, and cost-saving opportunities, to come.
